You really have to know what has been going on several lists: Java3d, web3d-mpeg, web3d-h-anim, web3d-source The greater issue may be people with undisclosed conflicts of interest working in coordination to enrich themselves to the detrement of the community. I can animate Web3ds's VRML based H-Anim Avatars with Java3d and code derived from the Sun VRML Loaders. I have been attacked by a group people of people with similar goals who want to establish themselves as the leaders, including people funded by the Nationnal Science Foundation, with money intended to benefit the community & country. All of us have suffered, and the truth is unknown to most of you. For evil to win, all you have to do is have the good people: do nothing.
