Do you have these projects online that j3d.org could link to? There
seems to be a slow, but steady stream of "Can Java3D be used in VR/AR
apps?" questions that come through and it would nice to have a few links.

As for your other problems, can't really help there. Transparency has
always been an issue. Inset windows - is this just overlaid windows of
information? If so, you might want to have a look at the overlay code in
the j3d.org code repository to do this for you. DaveY has sent me a pile
more code from Cosm where they have almost a full-on windowing system.
Tres-cool. Still digesting it, but you can be assured that I'll stuff as
much into the codebase as I can! (I'm trying to sync up our code with
the Cosm stuff as much as possible to avoid duplication of effort).

Ah, nice to be corrected on that. Thanks. I wasn't aware it was a
property of the hardware you used. For normal applications, I'd still
love to have a transparent canvas capability though. Would be nice to
have spinning cube buttons :)
