Just thinking off the top of my head - it shouldn't be that hard to
build another JavaCC grammar for 1.0 and include it within the current
Xj3D code. That way, you could nominally build a format converter - read
in 1.0, spit out 3.0 in XML format etc. The browser could inline files
of all the different versions etc etc.

If you want to have a crack at it, and include it in Xj3D, let me know
privately. I'll give you some details about how to go about it.
