I have just read Paul Panterra's article about auto-installation of Java 3D:
http://www.j3d.org/tutorials/quick_fix/auto_install.html
I tried to email him, but got a "user unknown" reply. Maybe someone on this list
knows the answer.
Have there been any enhancements as of JDK1.4 and the most recent version of Java3D
(java3d-1_2_1_04)?
That is, is there a signed jar file available on the Sun site that I can point users
to?
I am using auto installation for the Java plugin, via the codebase parameter in the
<object> tag:
codebase="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.4/jinstall-14-win32.cab#Version=1,4,0,mn">
and I'd like to find a similar situation for my users who will need to download Java3D.
Has anyone had luck writing a custom installer?
Thanks,
Andrea Boright
