just an update:
1. is because the OffScreen ViewPlattforms are culled when outside the ViewingFrustrum of the OnScreenCanvas. Attaching BoundingLeafs to the OnScreen ViewPlattform's TransformGroups solves this.

2. increasing the the height of the OffScreenBuffer to the same amount as the width makes everything appear right, but I don't want the Offscreen images to be a sqaure !
so I'm still searching for help..

Subject: Re: [JAVA3D] Offscreen Rendering

hi again,
now I have tried almost every View Policiy, but no result was the desired -  Projections of the OffScreenCanvas is still different from the OnScreenCanvas. and I still don't understand why sometimes the images disappear although they where drawn into the OffScreenBuffer..

so please would someone - may one of the SUN experts - take a look at the code:
(3 little .java files and I tried to remove unnecessary stuff like behaviors)

Subject: [JAVA3D] Offscreen Rendering

hi all,
I'm writting an OffScreen Rendering Demo, but got two problems:

1. rotating the main camera (Arrow Keys) makes the Offscreen Images disappear - why ?

2. the main View and the others have equal properties, also TransformGroups the ViewPlattforms, which are attached, have equal transforms. Unfortunally the output of the main View is different. I guess that it has s.th. to do with the View policy or Canvas3D's size but can't find the excact reason..

can anybody help ?

greetings
