I agree 100% Justin. At this point in time I hope we all push for
widespread adoption of Java 1.4 and I intend to push forward myself
promoting Java 1.4. Just yesterday the guys making SuperWaba asked me
why I wanted to use Java 1.4 rather than 1.3. {smile} Apparently I made
a convincing argument as they sent me a pre-release version that works
with 1.4.

I'm thinking what we need though is a fair number of webpages (using
HTMLConverter) that PROMPT users to download and install 1.4. Then
maybe in a year we'll finally be past a lot of these annoying problems.
What I'd like to know is if there is an easy way to make a webpage
detect the version of Java available (without the ugly HTMLConverter)
and give the user a message notifying them they lack 1.4. Sorry if I'm
ignorant on these issues but I'm relatively new to doing web type stuff
with Java.
