We're chomping at the bit here to migrate to java 1.4, but we can't because of the reported bug that causes repaint problems while running under 'javaw'. None of the hacks I've tried (adding various listeners to force repaints) are sufficient for saleable products. Is there ANY word from ANYONE on how to get around this?
I would expect Sun to be more active in finding an interim solution to this, given their push to get developers to migrate to 1.4. This is my third email to this group, and I've sent a very specific test case to the J3D group. Doug has responded once, indicating the cited AWT bugs. Whether it's an AWT or a J3D issue doesn't concern me; finding a solution to the problem does. At the very least, is there someone else I can contact at Sun about getting a fix without having to wait for 1.4.1 to come out?
