OK, seems to replicate my search path through the problems. > Well I never tried it again since then I simply used RGBA textures (I know > it is lame) but at the same time I also had (and still have) many other > unsolved problems and as soon as they are fixed I will go back to that > issue. Yes I agree. Unfortunately texturing doesn't seem to have been one of the strong points of Java3D - either in features or getting bugs fixed. However, as the J3D guys have told me, that's not their fault really and came from a little higher up the ladder. That problem is now gone and they were hoping to get a lot of the texturing stuff much stronger over the next few releases. That's good! > Sorry I think that is definitly not the answer you would like to hear, but > maybe someone from SUN should state on this. Well, it's an answer, and at least confirms my suspicions that I'm not totally nuts (just 99%) and was doing something stupid. I don't think you'll be hearing much from the j3d team right now as a number of them will be busily packing and preparing for Siggraph next week. -- Justin Couch http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Java Architect & Bit Twiddler http://www.yumetech.com/ Author, Java 3D FAQ Maintainer http://www.j3d.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Humanism is dead.
