We had a similar problem with one customer's laptop. We got around the
problem by reducing the hardware acceleration of the display driver.

Subject: [JAVA3D] Swing repaint issues with JDK1.4 Java3D 1.3

Hi,

with upgrading to JDK 1.4 and Java3D 1.3 from JDK 1.3 and Java3D1.2.1_04
I am getting some repaint problems of Swing Menue, Buttons, Icons
(they remain grey until I click on them) etc.
I am seeing the problem only on Windows NT, while the Win2000 Machine
seems to be fine.
In both cases the grafic card is an Elsa Gladiac with Nvidia Geforce 2MX
chip.
There is a message in the archive which I think describes the same
problem:

Swing drawing problems in JDK 1.4
from Roy Duffy

Is there any solution or more information?

Thanks Desiree
