Heard of it, Have no intention of using it: we need the javascript to transfer
parameters from the queryline (www...com?queryline) to the applet. We do so by
dynamically creating the applet tag with <PARAM> tags. We know no other way of
achieving that.

The applet is installed on our college's server(s) which tends to go under every
day or so (it holds many projects made by young inexperienced programers). The
HTTP server providing the HTML and Applet code is not the same one that provides
the database, and so the APPLET may work fine while the database yells its out of
room or something...
