Look at the Loader API in com.sun.media.j3d.loader. This will do your generic loading infrastructure for you. After you have the geometry back, then you insert it into your scene graph. How that scene graph is organised it up to you. However, note that various file formats may have trouble just working through the loader interface when you start using advanced features (ie more than just static geometry and textures). A list of loaders for various file formats can be found here: http://www.j3d.org/utilites/loaders.html -- Justin Couch http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Java Architect & Bit Twiddler http://www.yumetech.com/ Author, Java 3D FAQ Maintainer http://www.j3d.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Humanism is dead.
