I'm using win2k, jdk1.4, java3d 1.3 actually I don't look into this subjact anymore and will use Text2D or an AWT panel at the frame bottom to display all information. I put all 2D elements into a TransformGroup, that is translated to right before the viewport.
but I do wonder, why an older sample of the overlay library worked well, but just the one that comes with the J3D repository library does not show the overlay. tschau, gerhard ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Hudson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, November 16, 2002 7:15 PM Subject: Re: [JAVA3D] Troubles with 2D overlay > Gerhard Gelbmann wrote: > > I want to use the J3D library (www.j3d.org <http://www.j3d.org>) to add some > > 2D overlays to my scene. my problems is, that I just can't > > figure out, why even the provided example does not display > > any overlays. anybody got suggestions please? > > > > here is the sample code, I use (it actually is same as the > > example provided with the J3D code repository): > > > > > The example is working on my system .
