By any chance, does anyone have any experience using a Toon Shader for J3D, and if so, do you recommend any?
There was one that j3d.org was sent a link to. I tried looking it up on the sites page, but can't find anything off-hand. Have a look through the list archives as I think I picked it up from one of the postings there. The Demo app used a smurf to illustrate the point. However, there is nothing like the OpenGL level of customisable shaders that can be applied to any pipeline. We have done stuffing around with the internals of Java3D to get the Elumens Dome/VisionStations going, but there's some serious dodgyness going on to make that happen. You could probably use the same techniques to supplant your own shaders in there.
