Nasa Uses Sun's VRML Loaders, & I do too.
----------------------------------------
|
| Loading VRML using VRML97 Loader
|
| This example creates a command called
| GEOMVRML97 which loads in a
| VRML file using vrml97.jar .
|
| Select the desired VRML file to
| display and press the start applet
| button to see the result. You can use
| the mouse buttons placed in the applet
| window to translate, rotate and zoom in
| and out on the view.

No Photoshop fakes from me, and
no Gimp fakes ( I run Linux ), no fakes of any type.

Um, Justin, "Sun's VRML97 Loaders" load VRML, not XML.

 Sun's Java 3D Fly Through
 -------------------------
|
| The Java 3D Fly Through application shows
| developers how to use Java 3D and take
| advantage of some of the capabilities within
| Java 3D.
|
| It can be used as a demonstration platform,
| or as code examples for developers to incorporate
| into their own applications.
|
| Release 1.0 of this application provides the ability
| to load scenes from a number of formats including
|
| obj, lws and using third party loaders 3ds, flt and
| a number of other formats.
|
http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/flythrough.html

| The tools can import data from a large range of
| 3D formats, including
|
| 3ds, mdl, obj, __ vrml97, __
| dem, dxf
| and many others.
|
| Most of these require the addition
| of freely available third party loaders.
| See here for more details on adding loaders .

Justin, is there are requirement that people must
give you their source code if they post to this list ?

I don't think so, if I'm wrong please post the URL
of that requirement.

I'll let you try my Java Chess Player ...
-------------------------------------------------
http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/H-Anim_Avatars.html

Now you know I can animate Avatars with Java 1.1
with multiple joints, reaching for, and moving
chess pieces. VRML with Java3d is not any harder.

People on this list shouldn't attack other
people on this list as you have attacked me.

I do 3d Web Animation with Java & VRML.
