Mario, Yes, when a Java 3D app is minimized it goes to sleep (behaviors stop executing). Because of this behavior we've been trying to find a way to prevent users from minimizing our application (so far I haven't found a way to prevent that). This is a real problem for us as we need to process network communication whether or not the application is minimized.
