Yes, I've set this to PI and the default value (empty constructor). I'll try to set it 
to a different value. Anyway the surface is almost flat.

The only reason I see for this is that those triangles with different shades do not 
share the same vertex. I think it's not the case, due to the way I build the fans, but 
if there should be no other reasons I'll check each vertex by hand :)
There is something else that could generate this effect? I looked at normGen code but 
it looks like it consider just vertex indexes so I have no other ideas.
