Java3d can load & animate VRML files with the ------ Sun VRML Loaders to make movies or games and it works in a browser without certificates or the problems associated with ActiveX components.
Games can be made with Java and VRML that work in a browser like the Dart Throwing Game with a simple 3d Human Avatar Dart Player, here is an example:
"Web3d" Dart Game with Java & VRML ------------------------------------------------------- http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/avatar_builder.html http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/java3d_and_vrml.html http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/dart_throw.jpg ^-- Mime attached below ( small: 4,428 bytes )
Sun's Scenegraph Editor can load VRML 3d data files with the Sun VRML Loaders as you can at either of these locations:

The source code is available for free for that application here:

The VRML data files for the game and ".mov"ie animation are here:

A very simple VRML human model ( hand written ) with animation is here:

VRML is the a 3d geometry and animation file format language and Sun developed and donated to our community the Sun VRML Loaders which allow our community of Java3d developers to work with the larger community of artists and animators that also use VRML for web animation and scientific applications.
VRML file are clear text ( or gzip compressed binaries ) that describe Spheres, Boxes, image textured meshes and other shapes and end with the suffix ".wrl"
"H-Anim" avatars were developed in part by and for the NSF, NIST, US Navy Post Graduate School and the Center for Human Modeling and Simulation at the University of Pennsylvania and by and for people on this list, for our community, country, economy and armed forces and they can be animated with Java3d with the Sun VRML Loaders in a browser without certificates.

Justin Couch's statment above is false, it is a lie. Justin Couch is a pathetic pathological liar.

Both Justin Couch and Alan Hudson are liars, both Justin Couch and Alan Hudaon work for the fraudulunet, unethical and discredited company known as Yumetech.
Prentice Hall and Aaron Walsh falsely and fraudulently repeat the false and fraudulent claims of the Yumetech Fraudsters with the consent and criminal cooperation and of fraudsters at the US NIST, NSF, and & US Navy Postgraduate School.
The Sun VRML Loaders are used to render VRML by Nasa, the NSF supported "Lab3d" chemistry project ( with XML ), Daniel Selman's Java3d book, the old "Racing Simulator" and to animate Web3d.org's H-Anim Avatars in a browser.

Web animation is fun & easy with with Java & VRML, but lies of these fraudsters hurt us all.
