I read on j3d.org but I didn't manage to understand everything they did, and
I can't find the source in their code repository..so I was wondering if
anyone knows where I could read more about it.

Either use built in system of pickray from Java3D SDK, there is also some code in J3DFly (see the Java3D page from Sun). You'll may be have to use version 2.0 beta from netbeans. Note that Justin Couch (J3D.org) states that it is a really poor algorithm. Also look at the books like http://fivedots.coe.psu.ac.th/~ad/jg/ I believe there is some code. But I think you should give a second look at J3D.org as it is really an in-depth implementation of the concept. Download link http://code.j3d.org/download.html, download version from 22 august. There may be also samples, but may be these are only available from CVS. You'll have to follow the guidelines from the J3D.org site and have a bit of luck if you have never done that before.

Mail me directly if you need more support.

Thanx a lot

Flavius
