And if you check the different loader and input device links at j3d.org, you'll see how outdated most of them are. Possibly j3d.org was a good source for such resources but its long ago.
To some extent the reason is because they got written, work, and don't need updating, I'm the author of one of the AC3DLoaders there, and i've touched it recently enough to port it to xith3d quite easily. I don't see the point in sending justin an email every time I update the loader, so the only information is when I first let him know about it. If anyone is to blame it's probably the authors :)
