Hi all, Just for the record I intend to continue using Java3D in the future. It is stable, fast and the best way to display complex worlds in 3D using Java. I believe there are many people doing significant work using Java3D and will continue to do so in the future. As far as I'm concerned I'm happy for development to stop so documentation, tutorials on usage, and bug fixes can catch up. It seems that Java3D has been developed from scratch in an incredibly fast time frame and I'm not worried about a new version coming out every 3-6 months, I'm more than happy for every 1-2 years, as long as it is stable, fast and useful, which Java3D currently is.
Also a quick note to thank the team of developers who created the API and also the Java3D community for the great support given to up and coming developers. Thank you all for your help, Dave. -----Original Message----- From: Discussion list for Java 3D API [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeremy Booth Sent: Tuesday, 9 December 2003 8:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [JAVA3D] The real future of Java3D Michael Pfeiffer said: >> I have voted on that poll because I have my own speculations, but I'm >> not going to air those > > And that's something what I'd expect from a page which wants to inform > people (instead of assertions without substance). > Hi One thing I would point out though, is that the question for the poll isn't 'what is the future of java3d', but 'What do you believe will happen to Java3D?', so it's all about speculation, which as long as it's made clear that it's opinion based, is a perfectly valid question.
