I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one. There must have been some sort of change in the lighting equation used between those 2 version of Java3D. I
would really like some confirmation that this is what happened. Furthermore, it makes me a little apprehensive about future versions of Java3D. What
if another problem similar to that happens in say version 1.4? I'm surprised more people haven't pointed this out, it seems like such a fundamental thing.

Hi Greg!


I ran into the same problem some time ago so I can assure you it's more
than just a driver Problem or stuff like that. But since I found the
solution I never looked deeper into the subject. Now that you remind me
I would be interested in the cause, too. Did anybody have similar
experiences or knows more about it?
