The demo sources featuring ModelClip are delivered with J3D. Search for the directory "ModelClip" somewhere below your installation. (f.e. "($J2ROOT)\demo\java3d\" with ($J2ROOT) being the place where your J2SDK plus J3D reside.) It contains "ModelClipTest.java" and "ModelClipTest2.java". Both should tell you all you need to know about how to handle MCs.
