Hello all.

I'm having issues with lighting. I just finished building a model in
AC3D (my first one, in both AC3D and ever, so who knows where the real
problem is), and am using the loaders from New Dawn Software
(http://www.newdawnsoftware.com). I've tried both Java3D and Xith3D.
In both situations the scene is completely dark (in Xith3D you can see
the outline against the dark gray background, but in Java3D it is
completely black).
I added a DirectionalLight to the scene and that caused everything to
show up, but the shading on the objects changes depending on the viewing
angle. If I look straight down on the object (down the y axis) the
scene is very faded.
What I would like to do is have a constant light source, so all objects
are lit. Additionally I would like the light to be constant no matter
the viewing angle. I'd like the textures images to be their natural
luminance (as if viewed in a graphics viewer) at all times.
Can anyone help me figure this one out? Is there something I can do in
AC3D (I'd prefer) that will cause Java3D/Xiph to not try to apply
lighting? In not, what can I add to the scenegraph to handle a constant
lighting scheme?

       Thanks again!

       Nick
