Hey everybody, I'm doing a class project on comparing various orientation representations for 3d objects. Basically, I'm trying to implement 4 different orientation representations and then use them to interpolate the rotation of an object (say a ColorCube) from orientation A to orientation B (no translations or scaling involved). thats:
- Fixed angle (Euler angle) - Standard rotation matrix - Quaternions - Exponential maps I might be "re-inventing" the wheel here, so I was hoping if someone might be able to let me know if Java3D already provides Interpolators using the various representations. I have only seen the generic RotationInterpolator and I am not sure what representation it is using (Quaternion?). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
