At home I have an STB Velocity 128 which is an nVidia RIVA. It
is an AGP card. My processor
is a Pentium II 266.
At work I was working on a PII 400 with a non-AGP video card and I get
*MUCH* better
graphics performance on my PII 266.
I would go for an AGP card...
Note however the consternation in this group about the RIVA chip not
having drivers that
support all of Java3D/OpenGL.

I'm interested in buying a graphics card for Java3D under windows NT. I have narrowed the candidates down to either:Creative Labs Graphics Blaster Riva TNTorSTB Velocity 4400 I intend to use the card in a pentiumII 333Mhz computer and am wonderingwhether to get a card for a AGP Bus or a PCI bus.(I'm considering PCI card as it *could* be used in my other Pentium90 PC) Can anyone quantify the performace increase an AGP card has over a PCI card? Are there any other cards I should be considering? Thanks in advance.Guy le Mar.
