The problem appears for any L&F ... ( for example when I run
SwingSet, the fonts look ugly with the 3 different L&F: Java, Windows and
motif)...
Swing apps just run much more slowly on the SGI than on a similar NT
system
(on a Gateway machine for example) ... in the SwingSet example, it
takes seconds to get the canvas refreshed or to do any Swing operations,
like scrolling
a JScrollPane...
its like Swing apps seem to completely hog the system ...
I'm not using any custom cursor or theme either...
Im gonna try to use the last beta Swing release, just to see ...
