Another good solution for increasing the general usefulness of Java3D
would be if Sun and (remains of) Netscape could coordinate well on
a way of adding standard Java extensions into the JRE that would come
with Communicator 5.0.
To be practical (i.e. to get done by other than the absurdly dweeby 1 % of
folks),
the process would have to be available from a menu in Communicator, and
shouldn't require more than selecting the extension from a menu (or
on a web page) and pressing at most one button.
If something like this existed, it would be practical for developers to
assume that some browser users might actually be able to run a Java3D app.
You could give the (really simple) instructions on how to install the
(well integrated) extension to the Communicator environment.
