I'm currently trying to build a virtual solar system using the actual dimensions of the sun etc. I have created my own Sun class and have calculated the normals for it successfully. The code and calculation methods have been triple checked and there is definately nothing wrong on that front. The sun looks fine until the view is rotated down. Then some of the triangles making the sun turn black. If I scale down the radius of the sun from 695000 to 6950 evrything works fine. Why does the large radius effect how the triangles are displayed.
Thanks, Craig Hamilton.
