After your T3D.lookAt(...) call you should invert the newly
created Transform3D object. Just insert

T3D.invert();

after the lookAt(..) line. This is because the view transform group
is inverted by the render engine, when climbing down the view
branch. See page 213-214 of the Java3D API specification for more.
