Chet Haase does a "comparison" here: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/message/130608
On the issue of Java versions, Chet Haase asks/implies that JavaFX will not run w/o the latest version of Java. Last time I checked, Apple had not yet released a 1.6.0_10 version (and if they had/have, it's not on my Mac yet). Somehow this demo http://download.java.net/general/openjfx/demos/studiomoto.jnlp (and if I recall the ones Josh Marinacci wrote) runs just fine. Overall the comparison seems to be a bit more forgiving of what Adobe has "in development" vs. what Sun has "...not yet released." And of course I have never had to download and install Flash on my Fedora machines...it's just there (yeah, right). no bias there :) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
