Hi Dick, I feel your pain, but that is the price we pay for a truly open platform. And I guess I don't see the big difference between having to wait 18 months for Java on Mac vs. having to wait a year for Silverlight on Linux. At least in the latter case, we can go grab bits as soon as they compile.
Anyway Moonlight 1.0 supports MP3, WMA, WMA-Pro, WMV-7,8,9 and VC1. Moonlight 2.0 alpha, out in march 09', will incl. H.264 which I guess is what you need for netflix. The Sun press release (http:// www.sun.com/aboutsun/pr/2008-05/sunflash.20080507.3.xml) neither confirms nor denies the support of H.264 - perhaps a question for the upcoming interview? /Casper On Nov 26, 1:10 am, Dick Wall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Casper > > I think the only thing I really want to run that uses silverlight > right now is the NetFlix on-demand application, which requires the new > Silverlight 2.0.
