For me the list, more or less in order, looks something like: - Lights that don't flicker - Free from interruptions - Not having anyone behind me (or any looming objects) - Quiet - Work with likeable people* - Computer systems that consistently respond within 50-100 ms - Work with people within throwing distance - Work with smart people - Not have to deal with pointles bureaucracy - Work on something worthwhile - Free food and drink, without queues - Big arse monitor, or two - Per diems - If I have to go through a travel agent, then make it one that isn't crap (for instance can get the right airport, on the right day, within a few weeks and not charge excessively for being able to use a website) - If I have to use a corporate credit card, then make it one that isn't crap (for instance, works for Devoxx) - The moon on a stick *Myself excluded. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
