Thanks for that link. I tried it, but had no luck. Looks the same,
gray and no transparency at all.

I wonder if I have some weird Window-Manager configuration or
something. Is there nobody who can try this on Ubuntu by clicking
http://widgetfx.org/dock/launch.jnlp and tell me if it works? If
transparency is really not supported I can stop searching and just
wait...
