In my view, there are two likely aspects to jigsaw not having a JSR. Either Sun view it purely as an implementation detail, or more likely it is the following:
It's been mentioned in past on the podcast that all of the successful JSR proposals have come with an implementation already written in hand. My guess is that Sun is going to come up with an implementation *before* submitting a JSR proposal. So unless it turns out to simply be an implementation of an existing JSR, I don't see how jigsaw could be added to the core platform without going through the JCP. Am I missing something here?
