http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123896664697090681.html As far as 'false rumors' are concerned, I think its being optimistic to think these conversations didn't happen. It should be noted the NYT article quoted 'three people' and the WSJ article implies more than one source as well. If they were utter fiction then Sun/IBM would have killed it off with a single statement. After all, rumors like this do Sun no favors when executing a go it alone strategy, it just puts doubt in their customers minds. I think we'll see silence until a sale (to anyone) occurs.
