Maybe the following article is misleading, but it seems to suggest that microsoft will (or already has) implemented their new search engine in Java?

I also decided that the cheapest way to be able to play Civ IV on my macbook was to run the free (for a year) version of windows 7 for via bootcamp. When I went to download it, the downloader application is a Java applet.
