Ok. It took a tiny bit of digging to find it, (found it in slashdot comments: http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/05/09/201210)
hadoop subproject page: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/Hbase project page: http://hadoop.apache.org/hbase/ If you check out the "powered by" section of the wiki (off the first link above), Powerset is mentioned (good call Mark!), along with 12 others. Some of the ones mentioned look "experimental" and some of them look like real production uses (e.g. Yahoo's entry). I guess that hbase is not all that new, and the news is that Microsoft is basing their search engine on it, which after a bit of digging isn't all that new either. Once site I read (forgot where) said they have an internal site that their using within the company. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
