Somehow I don't think they ever made it onto German TV. I grew up with Monty Python and Benny Hill, but I got introduced Yes, (Prime) Minister only a few years ago. The humor certainly applies to German bureaucracy, too -- there might be slightly less red tape, but more procedure.
