I'm not sure I can agree with this.  I find the lack of type safety in  
spring frustrating, though a good IDE can help compensate for this,  
but the benefits of DI IMHO far outweigh the draw backs.  Generally i  
would prefer to use annotations and java based config where possible,  
but the are times when separating config from code is really helpful.
