Well, I sent out a survey and did some basic information gathering including contacting Dick who helpfully responded.
Various venues were discussed, and there seemed to be some interest, but nothing overwhelming and at the time it looked alot like there were only several seriously committed folk. Since I've never organised such a gathering, I put it in the bucket of things I didn't have time/knowledge to do, and I'm not willing to take on any kind of monetary risk associated with such a thing personally. (For instance, Dick raised concepts like insurance and so forth...) After that. It kinda died.
