(The plan is for Coin to obtain its own JSR in due course.) So this Alex, is priceless. A mastercard moment. You say in one paragraph both that if Sun wishes for language features it files a JSR and then does it, and then say that Coin did it in the complete reverse. > If Sun is not filing a JSR for a feature you believe to be important, > then evidently Sun has a different view of the feature's importance at > this time. And this is my point. Sun appears to have no interest in any feature at any time - and this is clearly your point of view as expressed in the interview (have you actually listened to it by the way?). As per your very statements in that interview, all these features are too hard, so you aren't bothering. If this is the case, you are the wrong person for the job - you need to go and do something else and let someone who *is* interested in making the life of the average Java developer better and more productive take your place. There are millions of Java developers, someone in your position has the capability to make a huge difference to millions of lives and you never expressed a *single* time in that interview any interest in fulfilling that responsibility. And please don't use Coin as an example, apart from JSR 292, that project is largely pointless. This attitude seems so short sighted. Perhaps this was never your intention to convey this attitude - if so, I recommend you listen to the interview again and see what you actually conveyed. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
