Yes, it was, I think at first, then I heard of a code freeze November- ish with release at end of Jan, but then I heard of more delays/ changes.
Not sure of the reasons exactly, maybe organisational issues? Hopefully the Oracle resolution will give everything clarity. Interestingly Eric Klein (Marketing manager for Java and primary guy in the "This ain't your Dad's Java" podcast) left Sun last week. Not sure how much of the JavaFX strategy that effects, I also heard the marketing guys were behind the JavaFX reqts.
