And my point is, the lock-in on Apple stuff is horrendously pervasive.
if I am unhappy with Google (as I am with their bending over to
Apple's request to leave out multi-touch), I can just install another
comparable application like I have with i.e. the Dolphin browser. Not
so with the iPhone, so when Chrome and Firefox comes out soon for
mobile devices, you will not be able to use these AT ALL. That is
actually worse than what Microsoft was doing and sooner or later,
Apple will run into trouble with this practice. In the past, they have
been protected by their insignificant size but that no longer applies.
