+111 - BTW, the SAF framework has been forked and is actually under
development, so I'd say that the reason for going with the NB Platform
is not much the fact that SAF is dead, but the fact that the original
poster said that he's going to develop a medium-to-large application.
The NetBeans Platform builds on Swing a good number of extra
facilities that save a lot of time. I suggest reading this article:
