I had a similar case but don't know what bandwidth it was. But there's nothing like the bandwidth you don't use : http://proximity.abstracthorizon.org/px1/. It's a Maven proxy cache. Only useful when you're often downloading from repositories of course... But I guess proxies is something to think about too.
