I would not bet that the iPad will get the same big success as the iPhone did. A phone is by itself required to be a technical device. For reading many people either still prefer paper. So I am not considering an iPad - or similar device - as so an important thing. More than that I would assume podcasts to be more important. I can listen to podcasts while on the road much more easily than reading a book (e.g. while walking, on bycicle, ....)
