Yes, if Apple gets enough heat from other quarters *and* links this to
the lack of rights they give developers for their platform, *then*
they'll give developers more rights (e.g. not to have their app denied
or removed outside of narrow, clearly defined reasons which don't
include that it competes with an Apple or carrier partner app).
Until then Jobs is a control freak -- he won't cede any control until he
feels a screaming /need/ to do so. Given the indirect relationship
between developer (franchisee) rights and overall iPhone/iPad success,
I'm not sure if/when he'll feel this need.
