Because he does not sit as high priest over his kingdom looking at
charts from a monotonous production line? Since there's not even any
licensing cost involved, there's probably no direct way to track this.
The OHA counts over 60 members and there are about 35 actual devices
on the marked at the moment.

Another data-point to go by would be application growth trends between
Android vs. iPhone:
