You are missing the point entirely. And I can't tell if you're doing it
deliberately just to be obtuse.

I would be shocked if anyone here was incapable of learning Objective-C.
Recent discussions here have also highlighted that many people recommend
learning new languages. And I'm sure most people are paid enough to fork out
their money to buy a Mac, an Apple developer license/access to the SDK, and an
iPhone to run their applications on. Nobody seems incapable of any of those
things.

But I (and I'm sure I'm not alone) do not want to do any of those things, not
out of laziness, or limited ability, but because I view the whole idea as
predicated on nonsense.

If I step on to a bus full of empty seats, and someone tells me I have to
stand my entire journey, for no reason other than their whim, guess what - I'm
not staying on that bus. It's nothing to do with me being too lazy to stand, I
would stand if there were no seats available. It's about how much crap I'm
willing to put up with that, to me, doesn't make sense.

Cross-compilation from Flash to Obj-C can work (there are empty seats on the
bus) but Apple has decided that you're not allowed to do that (they're telling
you to stand). If it was technically infeasible for some reason (all the seats
were taken) I'd have less of a problem, but it's not, it's someone telling you
this is how it has to be because they say so. Well, surprise, I'm not going to
ride that bus.

I'm sure Apple won't miss me or regret that. You may consider it a character
flaw, that perhaps I am just stubborn. But if you really believe it's because
I'm lazy then you're missing the point entirely.

Kind regards,
Graham
