I don't know about you, but I take a few seconds to write generic
messages to forums and mailing lists :-) for sure I need much more
time to learn a completely new language (which, BTW, I don't like at
all, as it recalls me a huge bunch of technical problems that belong
to the past, but this is another point). I take much more time to post
technical articles, since they need to be accurate - but I accept this
cost as part of the sharing culture, that is since I learn from other
people's writings, I feel compelled to give back something. I think I
learn even from whinings in forums and mailing lists, since I also
believe in the culture of "try to change things for what it's possible
rather than just mind your own business". I'm not surprised that all
of these things aren't understood by people acquainted to Apple's
culture :-)
